I had the same guys show up that were here Friday with dishwasher number 1. They showed up on time (2:30 actually) and were ready to bring up the new one (dishwasher 2). I had them unpack it and try to latch the handle on the door - I'll be durned if that latch unbolted and broke right there in front of everybody. I then recommended politlely that they get BOTH the new KENMORE dishwashers the hell out of here. Sears had finally mailed me a receipt - and I made them sign it that they had both dishwashers! I called SEARS and there was no answer after 20 -30 rings in any appliance department. Screw 'em! I called AMEX - and a nice Rep named Charlie told me he would immediately dispute the charge ($481.91) - and that if SEARS did not credit that to me by my bill date, July 10, I could simply deduct the SEARS portion. No hassles with AMEX. AMEX even apologized TO ME for my inconvenience with SEARS. OK - I will be relegated to my current dishwasher - I will just keep the paper towels ready when I wash dishes. KENMORE used to be a big draw - I won't try them again.. CMON - 2 out of 2 dishwashers of the same model and the handle comes unbolted in the first try? Where is my Consumer Reports ballot? c ya dogman

Nope..paid cash...so I got no interest..ROFL However, my mom went with me and she decided to open a Sears account. She had one years ago..they gave her $5600 and no interest for ? months (I don't remember). She's a show-off! teehee LOL..when I first typed that I wrote "show-foo!" Hmm..I like that..what is a show-foo anyway?
I have 3 Kenmore appliances in my kitchen (including a dishwasher) I have never had any problems. It's probably just a fluke. Maybe their was something wrong with the assemby line.

Remember - I was replacing a 6 YR OLD KENMORE MODEL THAT JUST STARTED LEAKING - I figured I'd just get a new one. Mom and Dad always had great luck with their washer / dryers and refrigerators. I agree with your assembly line assessment. Either way - I can get a dishwasher of a different brand. Just don't think I'll mess with SEARs for a third time. c ya - dogman
Dog - remember, Kenmore diskwashers are made by Whirlpool, so keep that in mind when you're looking! We redid our kitchen 6 years ago -- with Kenmore: -Dishwasher -Disposal -Stove -Side by side fridge -Over-stove microwave/convection and right around the same time -Washer -Dryer We've never (knock on wood) had any problems with any of it. One of our contractors dinged the front panel of the dishwasher - Sears replaced it gratis. I hope that your experience isn't a change for the worse - maybe just a dark cloud on your street : ) Best 'o luck- mj
