DH has a "charge-off" on his experian report that we attempted to dispute once (2001)and it came back verified. It currently says "scheduled to remain until 9/2003" The information says the debt was charged-off in 2001--but we paid the account in full in 10/98. I'm looking for the proof of that, but haven't been able to find it yet. Can we dispute as obsolete and have a chance at success? Should we redispute it as incorrect information? The account was sold at some point in '99 i believe. They were both reporting and transunion and equifaxt both took it off. Experian continues to hold out Getting ready to do mortgage stuff, so any advice is appreciated. Also--we have a cap1 that has a consecutive 30-60-90 day late back in '98; think that's something mr cooke/pfb would tackle? TIA!
Exp remove negative early?Obsolete? (Bump please ) Has anyone gotten exp to remove a derog a bit early? How much is a bit? DH has a charge-off due to fall off 9/2003 (per exp)--anyway to argue it off a bit earlier? Thanks for info!
