I tried to pull my EFX report a 3 days ago and got the "45D" error. Called "customer service" (very loosely using that term) and they informed me that my file is too long to view on-line and "technical support" would have to fix the issue and would be emailing me. I got tired of waiting, so I called today and was told that they tried to fix it, but were unable to make my file shorter...EVER! And I would never be able to view my file on-line. If I wished, I could keep the service and pay $69.95/year. I WOULD NOT be able to view my file on-line, but I would be getting the alerts whenever a change is made to my file. Well, SEVERAL changes have been made to my file over the last 11 months since I had the service and I'd never received an alert! I asked to speak with a supervisor and she was not helpful either. She gave me the option just mentioned or the alternative of a 1 month pro-rated refund. I told her that I would take a refund of the entire amount. She put me on hold and came back offering a $61 credit. I took it and she canceled my CW. We are buying a home and EFX had several items I needed to keep a close eye on...What do you suggest?
JUST TAKE THE $61.00 AND RUN!!! The "NEW" service is 4 TOTAL reports and scores for $69.95 for one year...NOT 365/PER YEAR!!!
They "CAN" remove all "HARD" and "SOFT" like up to 07/02/2002 like they did on my wife's report... It KILLS BUMPAGE...but there were no more error messages...
Even if you wanted to do 180/year or 90/year...YOU CAN'T!!! Some people just thought it was too much work to do 365/year!!! Too bad you can't even do 12/year!!!
Needless to say, and despite the "generous" refund offer, I AM PISSED!...Mainly that I am not going to be able to keep an eye on my EFX report. I got an email from a VP of EFX today and they asked that I call next week, so I will give that a shot and let you know what happened...
When they did this to hubby I went with another service. At humblemarc's suggestion, went with qspace.com. You can pull everyday at anytime. It really IS unlimited, but no score unless you pay for it. I do not like it as much as CW but I do not like changes, so that is more me than the service. I believe they offer a 30 day trial, but then charge 79.95, which I believe I paid 69.95 for CW so only $10 difference. If you're goal is to see you're report, the service is fine. Plus I see people talking about Privista alot too.
