FNB reported me to Experian and TU as deceased. I disputed with Experian and it was changed to a chargeoff.

How can I pursue this and get a deletion. Due I threaten with a suit
"You said I was dead, So delete everything"
    Here's proof I'm me.

    Any ideas

    Steve

If this really WAS a chargeoff, then all they've done is correct an error. You can't make them delete because they FIXED something. You'll have to dispute the old fashioned way.

You better make VERY sure that the CRAs don't think you're dead. That's a pretty easy way to have credit get shut down on you altogether, including things that you already have.

I hope you didn't tell the bank that in order to get out of a debt. There's better ways to do that than appearing dead.

I never told anyone I was dead - FNB is the only one reporting it, I filed Chap 13 and they placed this on my report.

What's it feel like? Any white lights? You should call up Experian and TU, have some harp music playing in the background, and through an echo chamber tell them all to get out of the CRA business or you'll see them sooner than they'd like.

Or you could treat this as an opportunity and claim you are a long lost twin and start a new credit record. But then, after all is said and done you might end up in the other place...

Seriously, first require EX to send you a procedure letter. If that proves a no-go, you might want to send a validation letter to the crediter if they're not reporting correctly, and it's been a while since they reported. But be careful, because if it's under the SOL you may be inviting litigation. Otherwise, you could just continue to dispute it-it may eventually drop off.

The solution is simple..Put in a claim with FNB on your credit life insurance.

cma - MIKE - that was hilarious about the harp music....great stuff! Marci copied exactly what made the dogman howl..

steve - just have them (the bureaus) show it as
    INCLUDED in CH 13.

You know that the reps who get your LIVELY case
    will love this one.
