Yes, very easy, never had any problems with an address dispute. Dear Sir or Madam: Both Federal and State laws require credit reports be accurate, complete, and verifiable. The following item listed below is still being reported incorrectly on my credit file. Please investigate this address to its accuracy and completeness, and either correct it or delete it from my credit file. 1234 Main Street, Anywhere, USA.... I never resided at this address, please delete it form my credit report. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Please mail me a copy of my completed report when you are done making the corrections.
Thanks for your quick responses. Experian is the only report that I am having trouble getting deletions of accounts from 2 to 4 years ago and I think it is because they are using my previous addresses to verify instead of really contacting the CA or OC's because the verifications are coming back faster than normal.
I called Experian and spoke with an awesome CSR named Amy. She removed all of the addresses. I checked my CreditExpert and they were all showing "investigating" for about half a day. I checked later that evening and they were all gone! Along with my "spouse" and my "social security number variation" JPARTDQ
Thanks a lot JPARTDQ for the info. I just got off the phone with Experian and the very nice rep named Cheryl deleted all addresses expcept for the current one and all phone numbers listed. Now all I have to do is get my husband to call to get his taken off. Thanks
I recently removed inaccurate address information from the Big Three. The phone numbers are: Equifax 888-567-8688 Experian 800-583-4080 Trans Union 800-916-8800 In each case you are required to have the credit report number or file number from a recent (last 90 days) credit report. The entire time spent to contact and remove the false information was about 45 minutes (on hold a lot).
I just spoke to jennifer and she removed all the variations of my names and adresses and verified that a funky entry was removed today.. YEAH shameless plus you can get a free 30 day trial at the link below and do some online stuff I challenged 5 and 1 was taken off in just 3 days.. when you get you online report write down the 10 digit report number as you will need that when you call in.. just remember to cancel in 30 days
