This is what you've been waiting for...

    Doc's Trickâ?¢

That's right! You're now the beneficiary of secret knowledge.

    Here's what to do...

DTâ?¢ Step 1: Sign onto CreditExpert.

DTâ?¢ Step 2: Go to the inquiries section. Count them, and remember which one is which number. Then, in a different web browser window (DON'T LEAVE CREDITEXPERT), navigate to this posting.

DTâ?¢ Step 3: Then try these links:
To dispute inquiry #1, click here.
    For inquiry #2, click here.
    For #3, click here.
    For #4, click here.
    For #5, click here.
    For #6, click here.
    For #7, click here.
    For #8, click here.
    For #9, click here.
    For #10, click here.
    For #11, click here.
    For #12, click here.
    For #13, click here.
    For #14, click here.
    For #15, click here.
    For #16, click here.
    For #17, click here.
    For #18, click here.
    For #19, click here.
    For #20, click here.

Special note to creditaholics: Don't tell me you have more than 20 inquiries. If so, you are hopelessly addicted to applying for credit, LOL. In that case, pay close attention to this paragraph though. This is easy but still confusing enough to befuddle the easily ruffled. Ahem. Count the number of inquiries -- STARTING WITH ZERO INSTEAD OF NUMBER "1"... Let's say you have 5 inquiries. I want you to mentally remember that the first one is actually "0"; the second inquiry is "1"; the third inquiry is "2"; the fourth inquiry is "3"; and the fifth inquiry is "4"... I know this sounds silly, but bear with me. Just remember to count the first one as zero and go from there. Then right-click and COPY THIS LINK. (I sure hope you didn't simply click the link. To repeat, that was RIGHT-CLICK, i.e. click with your "other" mousebutton, and then copy the link.) Then open a new browser window and paste the link. THEN, notice the "itemId=0" at the end. Change the "0" to whatever is the number of the inquiry you want to dispute (remember, the first one is zero). So, to dispute the 30th inquiry, you would change that ending to "itemId=29"... Then, of course, press return. That's it.

Good luck to one and all. :)

    Love,

    Revive a question

I must ask a question which may or may not have already been asked.

Does EXP REALLY send out verification/investigation requests to those creditors to validate their permissible purpose?

...or does EXP simply wait out the 30 day period and simply delete.

For me, I appear to get mixed results especially with 2 creditors (WFNB/Express and GECCC/Macy's) who validate. Others don't verify.

    Any workarounds for this???

    Got that infamous, we've-already-looked-at-it, message...

We have already investigated this information, and the creditor has verified that it is correct. If you still have a question about it, you may want to contact the creditor, or if you have additional relevant information, click here.

    Any workarounds, Doc?

    Thanks a million though!!!

Hey - why am I getting a "system error" message?

Copy into the same window that CE is in. Log in to CE, goto CR page, then in that browser paste the link and change the value(0, 1, etc...) to the appropriate inquiry.

We're sorry. We experienced a system problem and we are unable to provide your personal credit report for online viewing at this time. You may want to try again later.

    This is the message I get...I can't even get a report :(

    Excellent Trick Doc.

Also, if you want to dispute the ones that are suppose to be seen only by you, change the script from:

    CreditHistoryViewedBy"Others"Investigation.

    TO

    CreditHistoryViewedBy"You"Investigation.

    Good Luck,

    once again thanks Doc.

Will they send out the standard, "We no longer investigate inquiries" letter?

The inquiries that I disputed are now in blue and state that they are being investigated.
