Hello, I have 20 derogs on my CR. mostly Charge offs and Included in the BK . I was going to go with lexington,but since i have found this board, it gave me the insopiration to at least try to do it myself. All this stuff still seems very complicated to me, this is my fist step, please correct me if I am wrong... Send the debt dispute letter to the 3 CRA's , 4 accounts at the time. I am not sure if this is what I should do fist, please don't jump on me for lack of reading. I read but I am still very confused. Thank you for your time
monamour 1st, welcome to the board. At the top of the list is read the FAQs listed at the beginning of the board. Next, obtain a copy of both FCRA and FDCA and read them both several times to get an understanding of what your rights are. Next, start reading back through the posts here as far back as you can that will give you an idea of what many here have gone through and what results are possible. Once you have done these things, then post and ask questions about what you don't understand. There are many here that can and will be of tremendous help Finally, Understand that it is a process and can take alot of time. It won't happen overnight, but persevere and you WILL find sucess.
