They're okay. They will never give you copies of what they send out on your behalf, but they do get negs removed, as long as you keep sending them those updated reports (and paying the $35/month). Example: Came to Lexington in October 2002 with 3 charge-offs and 3 collections on ALL reports. By Jan 31, 2003 EFX was clean, EXP and TU had 1 charge-off left on each. Hope this helps.
Yes, there is a better one. I highly recommend you use them and no one else. Their name is <yourself>. You are the best person to take care of you credit issues.
I do agree with zhenya, despite of what Lexington has done for me. Had I found this board earlier, I would have saved myself some $ that went into Victor Lawrence's pocket instead. Oh well.
What about mental health? I find that the burden is really getting to me. How much can one person do or take without getting some outside source who cares enough to help? I dispute every month with Experian and my bk accounts get updated, then go delinquent again when creditors report. Now Sherman Acquisitions is reporting a 4 year old bk account as a collection this year.
Well, rumor has it that Lexington's got some 500 different types of letters that they use in their correspondence with the CRAs, supposedly "for every kind of case out there." Now I did not get this from Lexington itself, but rather from the old creditmania.com forum. I stand by my opinion expressed above, but if you have upwards of $200 to spare (retainer fee plus a couple of months' worth of service), you can certainly give them a try. I know people (the overloaded-overworked-no-free-time businessmen kind) who swear by them. If you decide to go for it for the sake of mental health, I did hear that Jenn (last name unknown) is the best Client Advocate they have.
