Just curious about something - Last month, I applied for Juniper platinum card, and got the "additional processing required" response. When I called for the status a few days later, the REP told me it was still in process. Received the reject letter the next day, so apparently it had already been denied. Are they not allowed to tell you this? Yes, this relates to my pending Blue and Fleet cards that were done online on Dec. 22. Fleet's rep says it takes 30 days to process an application, which I don't believe is true anymore. AMEX's count is down to 3 business days. Don't really expect to get either one. I think I'll wait for 6 months, then call Chase for an upgrade.
RE: "Application In Proce I'm sure they are told to say that so that you don't wind up having an arguement with that person on the phone. Your rejection letter probably has a different number to contact a different department where the staff is specially trained to be indifferent and rude to disgruntled applicants.
